Summer Reading Challenge

Summer Reading Challenge

Summer Reading Challenge

Saturday 8th July - Sunday 17th September

The Summer Reading Challenge 2023 has arrived, is a fun and free activity for children to read books, play games and earn rewards over the summer holidays. The theme is Ready, Set, Read! and it celebrates sport, play and creativity. You can join the Challenge at any Bolton Library and discover a world of adventure with your favourite sporty heroes. Don’t miss this chance to unleash your imagination and get active with reading!

To complete the Summer Reading Challenge 2023, you need to read six books of your choice over the summer holidays. You can set your reading goal and log your books on your online profile or in your log book from Bolton Library. Each time you finish a book, you can leave a review and earn digital rewards such as badges and stickers.

When you reach your goal, come back to your local library to get a certificate and a medal. You will also have a chance to win prizes and join fun activities at your local library.

Are you ready to take on the Challenge?

Join between Saturday 8th July and Wednesday 19th July to be in with a chance to win tickets for our Bolton Library Theatre performance of Jack! on Sunday 23rd July.

You can also sign up online at summerreadingchallenge.org.uk to discover new books, find fun reading activities and active challenges, play games, watch videos and write book reviews.
